Delete your data
Use these steps to remove saved trips or request deletion of data held by Move's sharing service. Last updated: October 1, 2026.
Delete trips on your device
Open a trip in History and choose Delete Trip to remove that trip and its GPS points. To remove all saved trips, GPS points, and trip statistics at once, open Settings → Clear All Data and confirm. These actions affect your device; they do not remove an earlier Google Drive backup or an encrypted trip that you already chose to share.
To remove the rest of Move's local app data, including settings and your optional health profile, clear Move's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
Delete Google Drive backups
If you enabled backup, open your own Google Drive and delete Move backup files from the MoveBackups folder. Disconnecting Google Drive in Move stops future access but does not delete files already in your Drive. Google controls any additional retention in your Drive account.
Request deletion of a shared trip
To request early deletion of an encrypted trip stored by Move's sharing service, email [email protected] with the share link or share ID. Do not email your decryption code, Google password, or full route history. We use the share ID to locate and remove the stored encrypted copy.
Without an early request, shared copies expire after the 24-, 36-, or 72-hour option selected when sharing. Move also requests removal after a recipient successfully opens a shared trip. A recipient's separately saved copy is under that recipient's control; deleting the server copy cannot erase it.
What may remain
Deleting trips on your device does not automatically delete Google Drive backups, copies a recipient saved, or map-service request records held under the map provider's own policy. If you need help identifying a Move sharing-service record, contact [email protected]. See the privacy policy for how Move handles location, account, and trip information.
